Freight Item

This field is simply the name of the Freight Item - can be changed as needed by typically not required after creation.

Short Name (Used Export only)

This field allows a shortened version of the Freight Item name to be defined. It is primarily used for integration exports and is not commonly required otherwise.

Priority for Finance

Used by the system as a 'tie-breaker' when multiple Freight Items are eligible for pricing. Higher numbers take priority.

Other Names (AKA)

Allows alternate names to be defined for a Freight Item. For example, if consignments are created using “boxes” instead of “cartons,” adding “boxes” as an alternate name will allow the system to match the shipment to the Carton Freight Item for pricing.

Label Print Qty

Allows the system to print multiple labels for a Freight Item. For example, a Pallet Freight Item may be set to print four labels, as pallets typically require labeling on all four sides for visibility during forklift loading.

Enable Freight Item

Set to YES and click Update top-right to make Freight Item active.

Data Filter

A little different to other areas of the system, this data filter is typically not required for use as Freight Item application is handled by rate cards directly. For further information on rate cards, please click here
