Depot Process for arriving freight

This article explains how to mark freight as arrived at the depot after a pickup or linehaul has been completed.

How To

Using the mobile app, users can scan consignment items as they arrive at the depot to mark them as In Depot, enabling seamless tracking updates for customers.
On the app, navigate to the Scan page:


Select a scan type of Depot In:

The Headport location is preset automatically based on the Headport set against the user's staff card under the Staff List page: Card Files
Scan all items as required.
Scanning consignment items typically changes the relevant consignment status to In Depot:


Once all depot scanning has been completed, a manifest can be created if required. While optional, this is recommended as it provides historical records showing what freight entered the depot and when.

To create the Depot manifest, click the hamburger icon top right:


Select Create Manifest:



Check Scans from current user only if only scans from the current user login should be on the manifest (depot scans from other users at the same time are not to be included).
Set the Scans to include as required and then click Create:


A success message appears at the bottom to show the manifest number created.

Q: Where can I see my depot manifests?

Depot Manifests are a type of scan manifest and can be seen under Transport > Operational Tasks > Manifests > Scan Manifest tab:

Q: Can I send notifications to customers when their freight has arrived in depot?

Yes, this can be achieved via a Status Export rule. The main requirement for this type of setup is to set the data filter as ConsignmentStatusName = 'InDepot' 

Q: Is there a way to export depot manifests?

Yes, this can be achieved via a Manifest Export rule.
