Onboarding Hub - Step 13 Agents/Carriers

Setup Agent List and Logins - Aka All service providers including; Suppliers, Carriers, Onforwarders, and Subcontractors. 

 
This article will explain how to configure agent cards and linked agent logins in an account.

How To

To begin, navigate to the above Page URL which is located under Transport > Configuration and Setup > Card Files (Customers/Suppliers/Staff) > Suppliers (Agents) tab:


This section of Transvirtual allows for the setup of the account’s agent base, representing the entities responsible for handling consignment pickups and deliveries on behalf of the account.

Creating Agent Cards

Click Add Agent/Supplier:


Name accordingly and click Add to create:


Upon creation, the system opens the agent record for the newly created agent:


Agent details can now be configured, including agent codes for integration purposes, contact information for use on RCTI invoices, finance settings such as invoicing terms, and logins for users of the agent's business who may require mobile app access in order to deliver consignments on behalf of the account.

Agent Login creation

To create a login associated with an agent, first ensure the agent record has been created. Within the agent record, select the Logins tab, then click New User:





Enter the details as required and click Add to create.

Idea
Set Mobile Device Access to YES to allow the agent mobile app access. Useful if the agent login will be doing pickups/deliveries on behalf of the account.
Double-click the login to open this agent user card where additional details can be configured as required:


Provide the login details to the agent user. If granted, the agent user will be able to login via the mobile app and perform deliveries for the account.
By default, agent logins cannot access anything within the account web portal but for additional information on this, click here.

FAQs

Q: How can I delete/block access for an agent login?

To delete an agent login, open their agent profile as outlined above, then click the Delete User button located top right:


Once a user is deleted, they will not be able to login to the account/app.

Q: What can an agent user access in my account?

By default, agent users are not able to see anything within an account.
If required, the level of access an agent user has can be changed using Security Groups, click here for more information on this.
