How To

To begin, navigate to the above Page URL which is located under Transport > Operational Tasks > Pickup Allocation:

This section of Transvirtual allows pickup jobs to be assigned to drivers via a simple, single-page view that displays all pickups as they are created, with automatic refreshes to ensure the data is always up to date.

To assign a job to a user, click on the consignment row or select the checkbox adjacent to the row:

Clicking on a consignment row displays the relevant details top right allowing further information/context to facilitate an informed assignment.
Click the Drivers tab bottom right to assign to a driver and then click the driver requiring assignment:

Jobs assigned to a driver can be seen within this page by clicking the PU/DEL icons adjacent to the user's name:

This is useful as it allows the allocation controller to view each driver’s current workload, helping ensure no driver is overallocated.

FAQs

Q: Why can't I see all my drivers in the drivers tab?

By default, only drivers assigned to the same headport location as the selected job are displayed. For example, a pickup with a sending headport of Sydney will only show Sydney-based drivers, as drivers from other headports would be impractically distant to complete the pickup.

Q: Can I bulk assign pickups?

Yes, simply select multiple consignment rows at once.

Q: Are there other ways to assign pickups outside of this page?

Yes, there are many ways to assign pickups to users/agents beyond the Pickup Allocation page. One example is manual assignment via the history tab of a consignment. Simply open up the consignment, go to the History tab and click Manual Assignment:

Another assignment is via Auto Assignment rules. This method requires known conditions whereby a driver or agent will always perform a pickup under those set conditions.

Q: I made a mistake and assigned to the wrong driver, can I unassign the job?

Yes, once assigned to connote will change status and appear under this toggle:

Set to YES and then click the consignment row, then unallocate at top right:
