Creating Consignments/Shipments
This article covers the different ways consignments can be created in Transvirtual.

Create a Consignment via Web Portal
- Navigate to Transport > Operational Tasks > Consignments > Create New
- Complete all required fields
- Click Save
A success message appears at the top of the page when the consignment is created.
If required fields are left empty, an error message appears. Complete the missing fields and click Save again.

Create a Consignment via EDI Import
- Navigate to Import/Export > Data Import > Consignments
This area allows you to configure Consignment Import Rules, which define how external systems can send data into your Transvirtual account to create consignments.

Create a Consignment via API
To get started with the Transvirtual API, see the API Getting Started guide.
Share this link with external customers who need to create consignments via the API. Before they begin, provide them with:
- The customer name/code for the account they will use
- An Auth Token, available in your Transvirtual account under Configuration > General > Global Setup > General tab > API
Can Customers Create Consignments for Any Customer in My Account?
No. Customer users can only see and create consignments for the customer accounts they have been added to.
